The NKADD is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time Accounting Clerk - Accounts Payable for the Finance and Administration Division. This position is responsible for managing the overall expenses of the agency while preparing and reconciling accounts; working with various internal and external customers on a weekly basis regarding purchase orders and reconciliations; regularly entering data into the general ledger; managing and monitoring accounts and resolv380ing discrepancies; and preparing a variety of weekly and monthly reports. Additional duties involve assisting with annual processes including audits and W-2s; assisting with monthly payroll; and serving as back-up for other accounting functions.
Training, certificate or degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with two to three years of directly related experience in accounting and finance, preferred - a combination of training and experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered. Experience with fund accounting, governmental finance practices and software a plus.
