The NKADD is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time Community Development Specialist/Revolving Loan Fund Manager to join the Public Administration and Community Development Division. Responsibilities include management of Federally-funded programs including a Revolving Loan Fund for Small Business Development as well as a Brownfield Assessment and Redevelopment program, and providing assistance to local government officials with public administration and community/economic development issues. This position requires presentation skills as well as the ability to work with a variety of Federal, State, and Local government officials and representatives from businesses, partner agencies, boards, and committees. Requires travel within the 8-county region. Candidate must have excellent communication and writing skills, experience in grant administration and reporting, and understand business financial documents, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred). Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a team-oriented approach in working with colleagues, partner agencies, and other stakeholders. Public Administration experience and/or proficiency with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) desirable. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills required. Maintaining positive work relationships, as well as a professional demeanor is critical to success in this role.
