SCHROEDER, HUDSON, GIBBONS AMONG WINNERS

The Northern Kentucky Area Development District (NKADD) held its annual dinner meeting on August 16, 20010 at Receptions Conference Center in Boone County.  The dinner marked the 39^th Anniversary of the NKADD, which provides community development, local government technical assistance, and senior citizen and workforce development services to the region. The dinner was attended by many notable local, state, and federal government and business leaders.

The NKADD Annual Dinner is well known as a forum for awarding some of the most prestigious awards given in Northern Kentucky.  The two longest standing awards, the Intergovernmental Unity of Effort Award (for and Individual) and the Community Leadership Award were presented by Walton Mayor Phil Trzop, Chair of the NKADD Board of Directors.  The Unity of Effort award went to Ludlow Mayor Ed Schroeder.  The Unity of Effort Award goes to an individual with active and dedicated public service, consistent and positive efforts for the public good, attempts at intergovernmental problem solving and consensus building, and cooperative and insightful planning for the public sector.

The Community Leadership Award criteria are: active in business, involved in civic and community affairs, outstanding overall citizenship, and not holding elective office. Rob Hudson, an Attorney with Frost Brown Todd was the winner of the Community Leadership Award.

Judith Gibbons received the Volunteer Award.
