Employment Connections was created to provide a seamless transition of deliverable services that build on opportunities designed to assist Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (K-TAP) recipients to attain their highest potential, maintain meaningful employment and achieve economic self-sufficiency. Employment Connections serves Boone, Bourbon, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Harrison, Kenton, Nicholas, Owen, Pendleton and Scott counties.
All participants of the Employment Connections program are referred exclusively by the Department for Community Based Services (DCBS).
Who does the program benefit / What are the benefits
Employment Connections provides employment opportunities to K-TAP recipients by assisting participants to develop skills to obtain, retain and/or upgrade employment skills and secure employment. The program staff encourages employers to hire participants or provide them with job work experience.
Employment Connections offers clients active participation in community service and work experience in non-profit agencies, short term training as well as wage subsidy and unsubsidized employment opportunities.
