The Northern Kentucky Area Development District, as the Fiscal Agent for the Northern Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy, is now accepting applications for the Director of the Northern Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy.

The Director of the Northern Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy (NKODCP) provides leadership and direction in implementing the vision established by the NKODCP Board of Directors. The Northern Kentucky Office of Drug Control Policy assists with the development of substance abuse policy initiatives, coordinates regional efforts and provides advisory services to the Fiscal Courts of Boone, Campbell and Kenton Counties (“Counties”), and other organizations as directed.  The Office is charged with serving as the subject matter expert on the issue of substance abuse and the development of a comprehensive plan (“Plan”) to reduce the prevalence of substance abuse among the youth and adult populations while coordinating efforts among all respective county and regional agencies toward the implementation of the Plan.  Excellent benefits and generous retirement plan.  Starting salary DOQ.  TDD 711.

Education and/or Experience

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor’s degree majoring in counseling, psychology, health sciences, public administration, business administration, or any degree directly related to public policy, politics or substance abuse policy with minimum of five years related experience; technical experience with law enforcement and/or counseling is preferred;  Significant experience/knowledge/accomplishment in the substance abuse education/prevention/treatment may supplement education and/or experience.

City Administrative Officer - Taylor Mill

The City of Taylor Mill (population 6,756), located in Northern Kentucky, is seeking a motivated and proven manager with experience fostering cooperation and operating in a dynamic, highly visible, multi-task environment to serve as City Administrative Officer (CAO). Annual budget of $4.6M. The CAO is responsible for managing the overall daily operations of the city and implementing policies established by the Mayor and City Commission.

Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration or related field (Master's preferred). Skills in oral and written communication, public relations, budgeting, grants, personnel, zoning and program management necessary. Past progressive management/supervisory experience required. Previous local government experience desired. Salary DOQ.

Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

The Northern Kentucky Area Development District is seeking a full-time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant. 

This position provides general office support to the agency including a variety of clerical and receptionist activities and related tasks. Duties will include answering incoming calls and directing calls to appropriate personnel, greeting and directing all agency visitors, assisting agency staff with documentation and other general administrative tasks.

The person in this position will manage Board meeting preparation including agenda, minutes, mailings, and associated communications. In addition, the position will also have responsibilities related to the reconciliation of credit card accounts for the agency requiring strong organization skills and follow through.

High School Diploma or GED required with 2 years of related experience/knowledge of clerical and office administrative procedures. The ideal candidate for this position would be a well-organized, self-starter with excellent customer service skills and a facility for managing incoming calls. Strong administrative skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary.

The successful candidate will have the ability to multi-task while effectively prioritizing assignments and will be capable of working independently as well as accepting direction on given assignments. Maintaining positive work relationships, as well as a professional demeanor is critical to this role. 

Starting Salary: $24,000 - $27,000 DOQ. TDD 711.

NKWIB Seeks RFPs for Medicaid Service Providers

FLORENCE, KY  May 2, 2018 -- The Northern Kentucky Workforce Investment Board (NKWIB) is seeking requests for proposals of direct services to deliver Medicaid Community Engagement Opportunities and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training services as defined by the Cabinet of Health and Family Services and Department of Workforce Services.

The Northern Kentucky Workforce Investment Board is the the workforce development strategy and policy board for the Northern Kentucky Workforce Development Area as part of the Northern Kentucky Area Development District, which consists of eight Northern Kentucky counties: Boone, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Owen and Pendleton.

The duration of the contract awarded based on this RFP will be 11 months, from August 1, 2018, through June 30, 2019, with a possibility of extension to June 30, 2020.
